TO ZELL AM ZILLER RESORT - ZILLERTAL TIROL
Enjoy
a holiday in a town that welcomes you in a typical Tyrolean atmosphere. Zell
am Ziller is situated in the heart of Zillertal
valley and is surrounded by the high
mountain picks covered with snow perfect for skiing. Also, the resort is part
of the Zillertal Arena ski area - with tens of kilometers of ski sloaps and
a lot of possibilities for fun.
From
the resort you have access to 40 km of ski runs, the majority of medium difficulty,
and 7 km for the advanced skiers. With the Zillertal ski pass you have access
to 176 cable systems that provide transportation for 625 kilometers of ski sloaps
of any resort in the valley including Zillertal Arena (Gerlos, Königsleiten,
Gerlosplatte, Hochkrimml) Mayrhofen and Hintertux glacier as well. Snowboarders
cand find here two snow parks and very good conditions on most sloaps.
The sled sloap, 7 km long, located just few km from the resort is one of the main
attractions of the region and provides fun till late at night. At Freizeitpark
tourists can practice some ice skating, curling, bowling, or swimming in indoor
heated pools.
Besides
shopping you will be delighted with bistros, cafes and a friendly atmosphere. There
is also a nightclub and a few pubs but the resort is not as animated as in Mayrhofen
(located approximately 10 km from Zell am Ziller). 21 restaurants are available
with traditional cuisine and some of them with excellent Italian specific dishes.
Although the resort is not as popular as Mayrhofen, Zell am Ziller is a good destination
for families or groups of friends. If you choose a holiday in Zell am Ziller,
you have guarantee of low prices when it comes to hotels and hostels that will
welcome you in a typical Tyrolean atmosphere.
Sloaps
of international renown, offers of various accommodation for all pockets, amusement
parks, a slide of 7 km long and the Hintertux glacier (the conditions for skiing
are perfect for 12 months / year) all make your next intended primary destination
the Zillertal holiday region which keeps its traditions and where you will be
welcomed in a typical Tyrolean atmosphere.
Other
areas are just waiting for the first snow to fall and for the season to start
but here you can find snow all year round, 365 days without deviation. There are
over 600 km of ski runs served by about 170 installations of lifts so you will
certainly not be bored when it comes to skying.
The Zillertal Valley is divided into three large regions and between which it
is hard to make the comparison in terms of skiing, 75% of the surface being covered
by snow. However, given the altitude, Zillertal 3000 is a real attraction for
all skiers, both beginners or advanced. Zillertal 3000 includes the Hintertux
glacier.
Zillertal
offers over 200 km of sloaps for ski cross, an excellent opportunity to discover
the beauty of this valley and also for some sports for burning calories. Tracks
have different degrees of difficulty - from beginner to advanced - and any route
you choose, if you are too tired to get back on the skis, you can choose the bus
to get back to your destination.
